Woodland Nature Discovery
Local woodland ecologist Martin Woolner and other local wildlife enthusiasts will host a free family woodland nature event along the public footpath across the Maidenhead Golf Course.
This can be accessed off Shoppenhangers Road next to Fredricks, SL6 2PZ, on Friday 2nd September between 5pm – 6pm.
Tuneless Choir Free September Sing
The Tuneless Choir meet to ‘sing like no one is listening’ on Wednesday evenings at the United Reformed Church, West Street, SL6 1RL between 8pm – 9:15pm.
The Tuneless Choir welcomes anyone, even with zero vocal talent – all wonky notes are welcome! Described as ‘best to be experienced to be believed’, the choir are offering a FREE session in September to new members.
Inter-PTA Football Tournament 2022
M2M Events have organised an inter-PTA football tournament at the Braywick Leisure Centre, Braywick Road, SL6 1BN on Saturday 3rd September between 2pm – 6pm.
This fun sporting event is aimed at local Dads who like a kick-around. Teams throughout the borough from different schools will compete in a round robin style tournament with a chance to win a cash prize for their PTA.
Cookham Regatta
The Cookham Regatta takes place on the Cookham Moor, SL6 9SB on Saturday 3rd September, between 10am – 5pm.
There will be boat races, dog show, classic cars, silent auctions, paddleboard and sailing demonstrations and music.
Norden Farm Kite Festival
The Norden Farm Kite Festival takes place on Punt Hill, Boyn Grove Park, SL6 6JD on Sunday 4th September between 12pm – 4pm.
This annual event is free for everyone to come along with their kites and enjoy the day. These can be hand made or shop bought. There will be music and performances as well as food and refreshments from local vendors.
Forget me Not & Liquorice Records Fair & Market
There will be a fair and market at Forget Me Not Antiques, Grove Park Business Estate on Sunday 4th September between 10am – 4pm.
There will be crafts, antiques, vinyl, face painting, glitter tatoos, BBQ, refreshments and more.
Family Funday
A Family Funday organised by Angela’s Appeals will be at the NMCC Sports Bar, SL6 6SP on Sunday 4th September between 2pm – 6pm.
There will be stalls with games, raffles, refreshments, crafts and there will be family fun and entertainment.
Maidenhead Camera Club Print Exhibition
The 2022 print exhibition will be on at the Nicholsons Centre, every day (except Mondays) between 10am – 4pm until Saturday 17th September.
Open to the public daily with free entry.
Outdoor Cinema West Side Story
West Side Story (12A) will be showing at the outdoor cinema at Stubbings, SL6 6QL on Friday 9th September at 5:30pm.
You can enjoy Caribbean street food and drinks from the bar, then watch the movie within the private grounds at Stubbings.
Outdoor Cinema Turner and Hooch
Turner and Hooch (PG) will be shown at the outdoor cinema at Stubbings, SL6 6QL on Saturday 10th September at 5:30pm.
All well behaved dogs welcome. You can enjoy a drink at the bar, Caribbean street food and watch the movie within the private grounds at Stubbings.

Maidenhead Town Show
**Postponed until Saturday 22nd October 2022**
The annual Maidenhead Town Show returns to the town centre on Saturday 10th September between 10am – 4pm.
There will be performances, stalls, entertainment, arts and crafts, the dog show and more.
Cox Green Horticultural & Craft Show
The Cox Green Horticultural and Craft show is at the Cox Green Community Centre, Highfield Lane, SL6 3AX on Saturday 10th September from 2:30pm.
There will be a raffle, tombola, stalls and various competitions. There will be a children’s area with a kids tombola, guess the name of the teddy, kids tattoos and crafts.
Children are also invited to take part in this years show for baking, sewing, floral, photography and creating. Children’s entries are free. Trophies and certificates for the winners (under 7’s and 8-14’s).
Repair Cafe Maidenhead
The monthly Repair Cafe will be at the Maidenhead Library, St Ives Road on Saturday 10th September between 10am – 3pm.
It is free to book, but this must be done in advance. Repair Coaches will then help you to mend your broken items and give them new life, instead of heading to landfill.
Items such as IT equipment, small electricals, bags, books, woodwork and textiles can be brought in. Book your slot via the eventbrite link.
So 80’s Bottomless Brunch
The ‘So 80’s’ bottomless brunch will be at The Lord Grenfell, Oldfield Road, SL6 1TW on Saturday 10th September between 11am – 2pm.
Expect music, entertainment and games with an 80’s theme with shot prizes! Plus two hours of bottomless drinks and and brunch from the Lord Grenfell menu.
Tickets must be booked in advance.
Aqua Paddle Maidenhead
Aqua Paddle is a 5K paddleboarding event which starts from Boulters Lock on Sunday 11th September at 10am.
Like Parkrun, but on the water, this fun free event is open for anyone who loves to paddleboard. You must own your own equipment but there will be marshals and trained staff on the day to give support and directions.
Register online, then meet at the Boulters Lock carpark at 9am to get yourself prepared, and the paddle will be from Boulters to Cliveden and back again.
Alan Barnes Jazz Trio
Alan Barnes (Sax and Clarinet), Rob Barron (Piano) and Andrew Cleyndert (Double Bass) will be part of a new series of live gigs at Dawkes music, Reform Road, SL6 8BT on Sunday 11th September between 12pm – 3pm.
Tickets can be purchased online and includes lunch of artisan sourdough pizza. There is also a bar with soft and alocholic drinks.
Cookham Dean Gravity Grand Prix
This years Gravity Grand Prix will take place in the village of Cookham Dean on Sunday 11th September at 1pm. Crowds will arrive from midday.
Downhill races (using just gravity) in homemade karts (advice and rules are available on their website) is a fun way to raise money for charity.
There will be a fairground and refreshments. Find details on parking and the route map on the website.
Maidenhead Farmers’ Market
The monthly Farmers’ Market will be at Grove Road Car Park, SL6 1SQ on Sunday 11th September between 9:30am – 1pm.
Here you can purchase from local farmers and growers. There will be quality meat, fish, fruit and veg, honey, preserves, bakery and more.
Clueless About 11 Plus
M2M Events are putting on another ‘Clueless About 11 Plus’ event on Wednesday 14th September between 7:30pm – 10:30pm. Venue TBC.
There will be an expert panel to explain to parents how the 11 plus works, how to prepare and much more. There will be drinks and nibbles, a cash bar and an opportunity for questions and answers.

Maidenhead Waterways Fun Day
**Postponed until Spring 2023**
The second annual Maidenhead Waterways Fun Day will take place in town and around the amphitheatre on St Ives Road, on Saturday 17th September between 10am – 3pm.
There will be paddleboarding, canoe races and entertainment. Plus stalls, food and refreshments and much more.
Cookham Dean Summer Fair
The Cookham Dean summer fair will be on the old Cricket Common, SL6 9NZ on Saturday 17th September between 1pm – 5pm.
There will be stalls, crafts, family fun, a dog show, flower and produce show, food and drink and much more.
Berkshire Birds of Prey
The Berkshire Birds of Prey will be at Crocus at Dorney Court, SL6 4QP on Sunday 18th September between 10am – 4pm.
It is a free outdoor event with no booking necessary. If you would like to handle a bird, it will be £2 cash.
Prosecco and Canapes Pop-Up Networking
The Athena network will be hosting a free prosecco and canapes evening at Taplow House Hotel, SL6 0DA on Wednesday 21st September between 7pm – 9pm.
This informal evening is for women in business or professions around the Maidenhead, Marlow, Windsor, Slough Abingdon and Wallingford areas.

Football for a Fiver and Family Zone
There will be football for a fiver (under 17’s free) on Saturday 24th September at Maidenhead United FC York Road kick off at 3pm.
Maidenhead V Gateshead and family activities for under 12’s – including inflatables and face painting. And a half-time crossbar challenge for over 12’s.
River Yoga Retreat
Paddleboard Maidenhead will be hosting a River Yoga Retreat from Cookham on Sunday 25th September between 9am – 1pm.
You will start from Cookham and slowly head downstream through the picturesque Odney, Hedsor Wharf, Boulters and the Maidenhead riverside. You must have had some experience on a paddleboard before going on the retreat. Suitable for all abilities.
Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning
There will be a coffee morning in support of the Macmillan charity at the Cox Green Community Centre, SL6 3AX on Monday 26th September between 11am – 1pm.
There will be teas, coffees and delicious home made cakes. There will be a raffle and memory bunting to add a loved one’s name.
Donate what you can. Everyone is welcome.
Clueless About Phonics
M2M Events for parents are holding a Clueless About Phonics evening at The Lord Grenfell, Oldfield Road on Wednesday 28th September between 7:30pm – 10:30pm.
Led by an expert panel, you will have a better understanding of phonics and how to support your child’s learning. Tickets purchased via the eventbrite link.
Random & Rocks Kids Party
Book your tickets for the Random & Rocks live kids party, at The Braywick Leisure Centre, Braywick Road on Friday 30th September, 5:30pm – 6:45pm.
Perfect for families with kids under the age of 8, with live entertainment, games, prizes, competition, dances and it might get messy – with slime and silly string!
