Paddlefit on the Lake
Join the team at Paddleboard Maidenhead on the lake for Paddle Fit.
When: Every Tuesday between 6pm – 7pm
Where: The Maidenhead Sailing Club, Lakeside, Summerleaze Road, Maidenhead, Berks, SL6 8HZ
What to expect
Paddlefit is a fun new class on the paddleboard. It’s suitable for beginners or the more experienced. You’ll be taught paddleboarding skills whilst building up your fitness on the board.
You can paddle at your own pace until you build up your confidence. A great social event whilst learning something new!
What To Bring
As the evenings are dark you’ll need a light (such as a bike light) to attach to your board – but don’t worry if you don’t have one, as the coaches have spares.
If you have your own paddleboard then feel feel to bring it. But there are plenty of paddleboards to go round. If you are hiring a board, buoyancy vests and insurance is included.
Dress in warm quick dry clothing, such as a dry suit or wet suit if you have one, or over-trousers waterproofs. Bring a waterproof jacket/cagoule as well as a hat and gloves. If you have seal socks, then they are great, but thermal socks will keep you just as warm.
Bring spares if you’re worried about falling in. And you can find out more information about how to dress in the winter on the board here
How Much does it cost?
You can pay as you go each week. If you bring your own board it costs £9, or for board hire it is £15.
