Make Maidenhead Charity Pancake Race
The Annual Make Maidenhead Charity Pancake Race will take place on Tuesday 1st March 2022 at 12:30pm at The Nicholsons Shopping Centre, Maidenhead.
This fun event is to raise money for the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice. Local businesses are invited to take part in the race to win the shield for the fastest flipper. And there’s also fancy dress!
If you’re a business and would like to get involved then head to the Pancake Race Application Form. It’s £20 per team (with two in a team).
Maidenhead’s Big Read
Maidenhead’s Big Read is back on Saturday 5th March and Sunday 6th March in the Maidenhead town centre. This year you can book tickets for the events taking place (completely free) – with an Oceans Alive theme.
You can meet the Incredible Oceans – WhaleFest team in a dome in the Amphitheatre outside the library over the Big Read weekend. Then inside the library will be a life size orca! You can experience the marine artefacts and take on the marine plastic challenge. Plus hear presentations and stories by Russel Arnott in the Library.
The Once Upon a Bus will also be part of the free event, where you can join their ‘Under Sea Bus’ for six different ocean stories.
RhymeTime at the Maidenhead Library
Head down to the Library in Maidenhead on St Ives Road, SL6 1QU on Saturdays between 10:30am – 11:00am for RhymeTime.
It’s a weekly drop in session where young children are introduced to stories and rhymes in a sociable setting.
And on Thursday 3rd March there is a special after school story time and crafts at 4pm for World Book Day. Children can come dressed as their favourite book character!

Story Time at Boyn Grove Library
During term time only, you can drop in at Boyn Grove Library, Courthouse Road, Maidenhead, SL6 6JE on Mondays 2:30pm – 3pm.
This month it’ll be on 7th March, 14th March and 21st March. Ideal for preschoolers and babies.
Angela’s Appeals Spring Craft Fayre
Angela’s Appeals are community charity events which are organised locally. And the first of the year is at Larchfield Community Centre on Sunday March 6th, 2pm – 6pm.
There is free parking (off Desborough Crescent) and free entry. Expect stalls selling homemade cakes and goodies as well as refreshments.
Basil Brush Family Fun Show Norden Farm
Join Britain’s most loveable fox for the Basil Brush Family Fun Show at Norden Farm Maidenhead, on Saturday 5th March at 2:30pm.
Basil will be live on stage for 50 minutes with songs and storytelling for all the family – and lots of mayhem!
Tickets cost £12 for adults, £10 for under 16’s and £40 for a group of four.
Or join him for his evening show at 8pm for Basil Brush Unleashed. One for the grown ups!
Outdoor Market at Norden Farm
The outdoor market at Norden Farm is on the first Saturday of every month. It’ll be on 5th March from 12pm – 4pm. It’s free entry, and stalls are in the carpark and the Linhay Barns.
Expect to find local stallholders selling artisanal produce and arts and crafts. These include Cricketers Gin, Como en Casa, Happy Leaf, Jo Fred’s Shed and more. The cafe bar will also be open (lunch is served until 3pm).

M2M Events Clueless About Teenagers
M2M Events are events and workshops designed for local Mums. This month, M2M Events will be presenting ‘Clueless About Teenagers’ on Wednesday 9th March at the Lord Grenfell, Oldfield Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1TW from 7:30pm – 10:30pm.
This informative evening will include a presentation by an expert panel – including a Head of Sixth Form and a Youth Engagement Officer. It will be about understanding teens and what they are into, as well as keeping them safe while they still have the freedom to enjoy themselves.

My Royal Borough Local Business Networking
My Royal Borough are holding an exclusive free business networking meeting for small businesses in Windsor and Maidenhead.
It will be on Friday 11th March from 10:00am – 12:00pm at The Desborough Bowling Club, 10 Green Lane, Maidenhead, SL6 1XZ
As well as the opportunity to network with other local businesses, there will be a Q&A with local and award winning business woman Seema Goyal – who has owned Goyals in Maidenhead for over 25 years.

Repair Cafe Maidenhead
The Repair Cafe will be at The Maidenhead Library, St Ives road on Saturday 12th March from 10am -3pm
The Repair Cafe is run by Repair Coaches who are volunteers and help visitor to fix their broken and beloved items.
This monthly event creates the habit of repairing and reusing things, as well as learning new skills and meeting new people.
Some of the repair skills this month include small electrical items, laptops, mobile phones, small furniture items, book binding, textile repairs and much more.
Farmers’ Market Maidenhead
The monthly Famers’ Market in Maidenhead will be on Sunday 13th March from 9:30am – 1pm at Grove Road Carpark, SL6 1SQ
It is Berkshire’s longest running independent farmers’ market, and brings you fresh local produce. This includes fresh meat, fish, poultry, eggs and dairy. And also other delicious food such as pies, local honey, preserves, gin and so much more!

Sparkle Vegan Events will be coming to Maidenhead for the first time, for the Maidenhead Vegan Fiesta on Sunday 20th March, 11am – 3pm on the Maidenhead High Street.

A Night at The Movies
Join the Project Singers at Norden Farm on Saturday 26th March at 7:30pm for a Night at The Movies.
The singers are based in Charvil and will be performing songs from some fantastic movies – such as City of Stars from La La Land and A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman – plus much more.
