Maidenhead Festival 2023 Headline Acts

Katy Ellis as Taylor Swift

The Maidenhead Festival is back for another jam-packed weekend of entertainment this summer. The two-day festival is the largest event in the town’s calendar – taking place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July 2023 in Kidwells Park, Maidenhead.

This family-focused event features live music, stalls, street food, fairground rides, a giant sandpit, fireworks and more! There will be plenty of entertainment throughout each day and into the evening – with a main stage for performers, bands, kids entertainment and dancers. It is free to attend – and a great community event.

The Headlining Acts

A line-up of world class performers for every musical taste has been announced as the headlining acts at this year’s Maidenhead Festival.

One of the acts topping the bill is Maidonian Steve Mitchell, who is our very own George Michael tribute star. Last year he wowed the audience in an impromptu duet with Elton John tribute act, Elite Elton – with the song ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’. Steve celebrates the music of one of the most iconic singer-songwriters of all time, with an authentic, heartfelt tribute.

This year the festival organisers have invited him back as the Sunday night headliner.

Following Steve’s George Michael show on Sunday night will be a musical tribute to the movies. Vocal harmony act A Million Dreams will be performing Movie Magic. The set will be packed with hit songs from The Greatest Showman, Rocketman, The Blues Brothers, Footloose, Moulin Rouge, Dirty Dancing, 9 to 5, Bohemian Rhapsody and Mamma Mia.

The Movie Magic show is delivered by the stunning vocal talents of Toby Hinson, Kerri Leigh and Rebecca White with superb choreography. They are seasonal professionals with past work in the West End Musicals, TV, film and cruise ships.

Saturday Night Headliners

Kicking off on Saturday night will be the award-winning Taylor Swift tribute Katy Ellis – who has taken her show all over the world. With an incredible live band and dancers, this show promises to deliver an authentic recreation of a Taylor Swift live show. All eras of Taylor Swift’s music are covered by Katy Ellis – beginning at Taylor Swift’s early country twang, to her current pop music influenced voice.

Katy started singing from an early age and went to Stagecoach. She then went to the Italia Conti Academy in London and trained for three years on their musical theatre course.

This fun energetic tribute will get the audience involved to all of Taylor Swift’s hits!

Topping the night on Saturday will be Inferno tribute to Abba, who are one of the UK’s longest established Abba tribute bands. With 21 years of performing under sequinned belts, Inferno promise to have the audience dancing.

They are still as fresh and dynamic as ever, and regularly perform at world-class venues throughout the UK and Europe.

Festival chairman Lisa Hunter said: “We’ve tried to cater for the broadest range of musical tastes with some truly world class act that will offer huge crowd appeal and it’s great to have a local performer as one of our headliners. Everyone will know lots of the music so we’re expecting plenty of singing and dancing from the audience”.
