Lisa Darban Bespoke Floristry

Based in Windsor, Berkshire, Lisa is a floral designer specialising in bespoke projects, with a focus on eco-friendly methods.

It began with farewell flowers, wanting to support clients and help them celebrate the life of their loved ones, and grew into weddings, PR events, and installations. Everything is personally designed and tailor made to order.

Lisa’s passion for flowers comes through in her creations. She will work with you to ensure you receive exactly what you want, and can give expert advice to ensure your flowers look spectacular.

Coming from a family of horticulturists, Lisa loves to listen to what her customers want and incorporates seasonal colours, foliage and blooms and designs it to suit them.

Workshops

As well as creating flowers and floral art for any occasion, Lisa also holds workshops locally and more recently online to stay within the guidelines but continue spreading some floral fun!.

Her Christmas Wreath making workshops are a great way to get into the festive mood and are a perfect social activity.

You will receive a kit containing materials for your wreath before your workshop so you have everything in advance. Then on the day you can have fun and enjoy getting crafty! If you don’t have any experience, Lisa will guide you through it at your own pace.

By the end you will have a beautiful bespoke Christmas wreath to decorate your front door.

Other workshops also include flower arranging parties which are great for hen-do’s, children’s birthday’s or for events. They are also great as experience day gifts for someone.

Materials for online workshops or ready made wreaths can be delivered nationwide.

 Eco – Conscious

Lisa’s Bespoke Floristry has an eco-friendly message. She plays her part in protecting the environment by avoiding one use plastic and floral foam (which contain microplastics).

Bouquets do not come wrapped in a film of plastic and everything is reusable or biodegradable as far as possible.

As well as this, Lisa supports UK growers in all her designs.

Be Creative

Lisa likes a challenge and loves to get creative. Whether it is a wreath in the shape of a horse or a show stopping floral crown, she will design it. She has worked with the online giant ‘Not on the High Street’ and has previously been nominated regionally for the ‘Best Florist’ award.

About Lisa

How long have you been a floral designer?

I grew up in a horticultural family business, so I think it’s in my blood! Floral design was something I always wanted to follow, and 4 years ago I finally decided to start my business. A family loss made me really aware that life is short, and it was time to show for it!

You are incredible artistic. Have you always been creative?

That’s really kind, thank you! I really have always loved creative hobbies, from sewing and embroidery, to painting and paper crafts. (Just don’t ask me to bake!!)

You do a lot of workshops locally. Do you enjoy getting involved in community events?

I love my Christmas workshops, it’s brilliant meeting lots of people and seeing how much people her from the experience. Creativity is great for mental and emotional well-being, and it’s just so important to make time for some ‘me-time’ and fun!

Having an eco-friendly business is important to you. Have you noticed that more people are being more conscious when it comes to using environmentally friendly products?

I am! And yes I definitely think there’s a growing awareness, in general, which is fantastic! When it comes to flowers there’s a long way to go to get the message out. For me the main thing is avoiding floral foam (which is microplastics) and focussing on other methods of design. And of course supporting British growers and reducing plastic use – I use brown paper and twine to wrap my curated bouquets, or design them directly into a reusable container.
