KOKORO Maidenhead Japanese takeaway

KOKORO Maidenhead

KOKORO is a Japanese and Oriental restaurant situated in Maidenhead’s town centre. There is a variety of authentic hot food and fresh handmade sushi which is prepared on site daily to takeaway.

Favourites such as katsu curry, noodles, soups and sweet and sour chicken are available. There are also a selection of vegetarian dishes as well as fish and meat.

KOKORO means ‘heart, soul and spirit’ in Japanese, as their aim is to put every effort into their quality and service. Plus they are conscious of value and environmentally friendly packaging.

As KOKORO Maidenhead is in the heart of the town, it is easily accessible for workers or those based in the offices, or for shoppers on the go.

They also have a Deliveroo service, so you can order your meal and have it delivered straight to your door for that added convenience.

About KOKORO Maidenhead

What sort of dishes do you offer at KOKORO?

We offer Japanese and oriental dishes all freshly made on site every day. Our sushi is hand made and we use super fresh fish and vegetables only. Our hot food dishes are Chicken Katsu, Sweet chilli chicken, Salmon teriyaki, Spicy pork, Beef Bulgogi.. etc all freshly cooked by our experienced chef. We also have vegetarian dishes such as Spicy Tofu, Pumpkin Korokke, Tofu Katsu etc. We also have popular Japanese snacks such as Mochi, Dorayaki etc.

What are your most popular dishes?

Chicken Katsu! Everybody loves our Chicken Katsu especially with our signature KOKORO curry sauce. Sweet chilli Chicken is also very popular but recently the demand for vegetarian dishes is growing rapidly too.

Do you think Sushi is becoming more and more popular in the UK?

Definitely. I’ve been living in the UK nearly 30 years but when I just moved over here from Tokyo back in the 90s, sushi was still very expensive so only certain people could afford to eat it. Now it’s not expensive at all any more and has also been recognised as one of the healthiest foods in the world.
