Halloween Activities in Maidenhead

Pumpking Picking at Copas Farm

Pick your own pumpkins at The Fruit Fields, Copas Farm. Pumpkins are available to go and pick (and have photo opportunities) on Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th October and Saturday 22nd October until Sunday 30th October (or until sold out) at The Fruit Fields, Lower Mount Farm, Cookham SL6 9RF.

There is an online booking system and vouchers for access to the pumpkin field costs £2 per person, plus a 25p admin fee.

Cliveden House, National Trust

Scarecrow Trail at Cliveden

There will be a Scarecrow Trail running over the October half term from Saturday 22nd October between 10am – 3pm at Cliveden National Trust, SL6 8NS.

This family trail is free to take part, but there are admission charges to the grounds (National Trust members have free entry). Or claim a free NT visit this Autumn (valid until 30th November 2022.) Find out more. Once you have found the scarecrows, head to the craft tent and make your very own bamboo spoon scarecrow.

Spooky Fun at Chai Cocoa

There will be plenty of half term activities at Chai Cocoa on Queen Street between Monday 24th October – Saturday 29th October.

There are craft workshops, Halloween disco play sessions, T-shirt design and more.

Decorate a Halloween Skeleton Biscuit

Decorate your very own skeleton biscuit from Monday 17th October to Sunday 30th October between 9am – 4pm at Crocus at Dorney Court, SL4 6QP.

Head to the cafe restaurant and decorate your biscuit for £4.95 per biscuit. Eat in or take it home. No booking required.

Halloween Pumpkin Carving

There will be pumpkin carving over half term from Tuesday 25th October – Sunday 30th October between 9:30am – 11:30am at Crocus at Dorney Court, SL4 6QP.

No booking required. Pumpkin carving will take place in the walled garden. £5.95 per pumpkin.

Brett Foundation Soft Play – Ghouls Session

The Brett Foundation will be running their soft play over the October half term, with a ‘Ghouls’ session on Monday 24th October between 10am – 12pm at St Luke’s Community Hall, SL6 7AT.

Children can enjoy the soft play and have fun coming along in Halloween fancy dress. Anyone who turns up dressed up will recieve a bag of trick or treat sweeties. It doesn’t have to be scary.

£1 per child and free refreshments.

Halloween Dress up and Sing-a-long for adults!

Join the Tuneless Choir for their annual SPOOKTACULAR on Wednesday 26th October from 8pm – 9:15pm at the United Reform Church Maidenhead, West Street, SL6 1RL.

Ghosts, monsters, witches, vampires, black cats and zombies all welcome as well as ghoulish singing. Sing the spooky classics like Monster Mash, Ghostbusters and Thriller all for a scarily good £7.

Walk with Ghosts at Stubbings

There will be a walk with ghosts event with dinner from Thursday 27th October – Saturday 29th October at Stubbings, SL6 6QL.

There are three different sessions to choose from. 1st scare – dinner at 5:30pm with the walk at 6:15pm. 2nd scare – dinner at 6:15pm with the walk at 7pm. 3rd scare (this one is suitable for ages 15 and over) – dinner at 7pm with the walk at 7:45pm.

There are adult and children’s menus then a 25 minute walk around the grounds of the old Manor House. Fancy dress is encouraged for children and adults with a certificate for the best dressed. Book online.

Spooky Half Term Events in the Nicholson Centre

The Maidenhead Craft Coop will be organising some free Halloween half terms events between Wednesday 26th October – Saturday 29th October in the Nicholsons Shopping Centre.

On Wednesday 26th between 10am – 12:30pm there will be a spooky castle colouring in competition. On Thursday 27th between 10am – 12:30pm there will be a spooky train colouring in competition. On Friday 28th there will be pumpkin carving. And on Saturday 29th between 10am – 1pm there will be a paint and spooky frame craft event.

Carving at The Quarter

This adults only pumpkin carving event will take place on Thursday 27th October between 6pm – 8:30pm at Sauce and Flour, High Street, SL6 1QJ.

This is a 45 minute instructor-led workshop and includes your pumpkin, carving tools, a glass of wine or soft drink and crostini’s.

Book your slot and choose from 6pm, 7pm or 8pm. £10 per person.

The Night Forest

There will be an after dark family experience on Thursday 27th October, Friday 28th October and Saturday 29th October between 5:30pm – 7pm at the Braywick Nature Centre, Hibbert Road.

Bring a pumpkin, a tool to carve it and a torch or bike light to illuminate it. Suitable for children aged 4 – 11 years. Must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets available online.

Random & Rocks Halloween Party

Duo Random & Rocks will be hosting a lively family Halloween party on Friday 28th October between 5:30pm – 6:45pm (doors open at 5pm) at the Braywick Leisure Centre.

The interactive show will be in the Baylis Theatre and there will be music, games, competitions, dancing and may get messy with silly string and slime!

Great for families with children 8 years and under. Tickets are £9 per person. Children 3 years and under go free.

There will be a Spooky Concertini with Johnny and the Raindrops family concert on Saturday 29th October at 11:30am and at 2pm at Norden Farm, Altwood Road.

There will be lots of spooky songs to dance and groove to – ideal for children 8 years and under.

When You Wish Upon a Brunch – Halloween Special

Book your tickets for a special Halloween themed bottomless brunch on Saturday 29th October between 11am – 2pm at The Lord Grenfell, Oldfield Road.

There will be background music while you enjoy your brunch followed by live entertainment. Over 18’s only.

Boyne Hill CC Halloween Party

The Boyne Hill CC Halloween Party will be on Saturday 29th October from 3pm at the Boyne Hill Cricket Club, SL6 5AE.

There will be children’s games between 3pm – 6pm followed by at DJ from 7pm. Prizes for the best fancy dress. Tickets available on the door or by getting in touch with the event organisers on Facebook.

There will be a Halloween Party on Saturday 29th October between 9pm – 3am at The Vine, 20 Market Street.

There will be a fancy dress competition, music and karaoke with Nick.

There will be breakfast and pumpkin carving on Sunday 30th October between 9am – 11:30am at the Pond House, 53 Bath Road, SL6 4AL.

There will also be colouring for the children and a prize for the best fancy dress. £5 per child. Get in touch with them to secure your place.

Angela’s Appeals Halloween Family Funday

Angela is organising a Halloween Family Funday which will be on Sunday 30th October between 1pm – 5pm at Oaken Grove Park, off Courthouse Road.

As well as stalls selling crafts and refreshments, there will also be a disco and a children’s and adult’s fancy dress competition. The competition will be judged in age categories.

A Hoppy Place Halloween Night

A Hoppy Place Maidenhead will be celebrating Halloween on Saturday 29th October with live music starting at 8pm, at Trinity Place, Park Street.

There will be music from band Amp Cats, pizza served by Knead Neapolitan Pizza and a fancy dress competition. Free entry.

Other Halloween Activities

Always a favourite and just outside of Maidenhead is the Binfield Scarecrow Trail, organised by the residents of Binfield. It will run from Saturday 22nd October – Sunday 30th October. Purchase your trail map for £3 from The Foxes Den, Crema Cafe or the village stores and enjoy going on a scarecrow hunt!

Odds Farm have their annual Pumpkin Festival between Saturday 22nd October – Sunday 30th October. Pick your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, carve it at the carving corner and there are plenty of Halloween crafts too.

Brick or Treat returns to Legoland. It runs throughout October from 1st – 31st. As well as the fun of Legoland, there will be a new Halloween Harbour show, a new 4D monster movie, find the creepy crypts for halloween treats and meet new characters.

Or head over to Moss End Garden Village. There will be a monsters giant bench, where you can take your best fancy dress selfie. There’s a prize for the best one. It will be there between Saturday 29th October – Monday 31st October.

Marlow Bottom also have their Scarecrow Festival again this year, running from Sunday 23rd October – Saturday 29th October. Trail maps cost £2 and can be purchased from Tin Town Coffee, The Barn Club and Da Luca from 23rd October. 

Looking for a fancy dress costume? Head to the Maidenhead Library on Friday 28th October between 1pm – 3pm and claim a donated Halloween Costume. The Halloween Swap Shop runs all the way through October (until 28th) where you can go in an donate your unwanted costumes and decorations. Find more details on the RBWM website.
