Pilates and HIIT Classes in Maidenhead

Claire Brooks runs Pilates and HIIT classes both online and in person in Cookham and Maidenhead.

Claire became a qualified Pilates instructor in 2009 and since then has been teaching fun and friendly socially distanced group classes and virtual classes. She also offers one to one Pilates sessions and is qualified to teach pre and postnatal Pilates.

In addition to FitBuzz Pilates, Claire also runs circuit and HIIT sessions. All in person classes are kept small and are currently held at Braywick Court School and St Pirans School in Maidenhead.

FitBuzz Pilates

FitBuzz Pilates are hour long sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. They are designed to improve posture, balance and stability, as well as reduce stress levels and develop muscle tone.

They are suitable for all levels and abilities, including beginners.

You will need a mat, a small 7 inch Pilates ball, a resistance band and a cushion or yoga block. Speak to Claire if you require any equipment or have any questions.

FitBuzz HIIT

HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training, which are short periods of intense exercise followed by a rest period or lower intense workout and repeated.

They include bursts of cardio and strengthening exercises which are effective for burning fat and increasing fitness levels, and can be done in a shorter space of time.

You currently offer in person and online HIIT and Pilates classes. Do you need a lot of space at home for the online HIIT?

You just need a mat space and some hand weights or tins of beans at the home!

Do you offer moderations for those new to HIIT or Pilates?

Adaptations and progressions are offered for the exercises to suit all levels of fitness and ability.

What are the main differences between Pilates and Yoga?

Pilates is great for posture, core strength, mind and body connection, similarly to yoga, but with more movement and focus on strength as well as mobility, stability and flexibility.
