Easter Egg Hunts and Activities in the Maidenhead Area

Make Maidenhead Easter Egg Hunt
Sign up now for the Make Maidenhead Easter Egg Trail in the Nicholsons Shopping Centre which takes place on Wednesday 13th April, between 11am and 1:30pm. The event will end at 2pm.
You can sign up using the form below to enter your team into the Easter trail in the town centre. You will be given a map (so bring a pen) to look for clues around the shops in Maidenhead. You’ll be looking for hidden eggs.
All entries will be entered into a prize draw to win tickets for the Roller Disco and swim passes at either the Braywick or Windsor Leisure centre. There will also be extra prizes on the day! Good luck!
Easter Trail at Cliveden
The Easter Trail at Cliveden National Trust will be running from Saturday 9th April – Sunday 24th April 2022 between 10am – 3:30pm, Cliveden Road, SL1 8NS.
This buggy and wheelchair friendly trail has 10 nature inspired activities to complete along the way. And once completed, you can collect your chocolate Easter Egg (or an allergen free alternative) at the end. There is also a shorter route for smaller children.
Trail maps can be picked up at the Event Tent by the carpark in the walled garden and they cost £3.
There is also plenty to do, such as the maze, adventure playground, steps down to the river, kiosk and cafe for refreshments and picnic areas. Dogs welcome.
Afternoon Tea with Mr Rabbit at Stubbings
Stubbings Nursery are hosting a special afternoon tea in the cafe with Mr Rabbit. It’ll run from Monday 11th April – Thursday 14th April at 3:30pm each day at Stubbings Lane, SL6 6QL.
Tickets can be purchased online for £14.95 for children (aged 3 – 12) and £16.95 for adults.
You will be greeted on arrival and taken to your reserved table where there will be sweet and savoury treats for children and adults. There will also be cupcake decorating, photo opportunities with Mr Rabbit and there may be a small chocolate surprise for the children.
Tickets are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.
Easter Family Funday Oaken Grove Park
Angela’s Appeals will be hosting another community event in Maidenhead with an Easter Family Funday. It will be on Sunday 17th April, 1pm – 5pm at Oaken Grove (off Couthouse Road).
There will be stalls selling gifts, sweet treats and handmade goods. Plus arts and crafts for the children, entertainment, inflatables and rides. There will also be food and drink stalls, a disco and charity Tombola. There will be an Easter Egg hunt from 2:30pm – 3pm.
Children are also invited to join in with an Easter Bonnet competition (the winners will be announced at 4pm on the day).
Maidenhead Bridge Rotary Club Easter Funday
Join the Maidenhead Bridge Rotary Club for this FREE Easter Funday on Saturday 16th April, 11am – 3pm at Grenfell Park, Maidenhead.
Aimed at young families (0-12 years old) it’s a chance to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air and visit the park. During the event there will be an Easter egg hunt, face painting, bunny mask making, fairground rides, a treasure hunt, stalls and many other children’s activities.
Visitors to the event will also be able to enjoy refreshments such as ice cream, hot food and freshly made coffees and teas.
Things on Strings Cookham Easter Market
Things on Strings will be hosting their Easter Market on Saturday 16th April, 10:30am – 4pm at Pinder Hall, Cookham, SL6 9HF.
There is free entry with a mix of stallholders from chocolatiers, handmade crafts and accessories, greetings cards, dog treats, jewellery, art and Easter decorations.
It’s a great way to support local businesses and enjoy the day. There will also be a dedicated area for children’s colouring and refreshments.
Maidenhead Round Table Great Easter Egg Hunt
The Maidenhead Round Table will be presenting the Great Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday 17th April from 11:30am – 3:30pm at NMCC Sports Bar, Summerleaze, SL6 8SP
Tickets cost £2.50 on the day (recommended donation) and the children can grab a basket and start collecting.
Once their basket is full, they take it to the ‘eggschange’ table where their haul will be swapped for some real choccy.
Crocus at Dorney Court Easter Hop Along Hunt
Crocus at Dorney Court will be having an Easter egg hunt in the half term. It will run from Saturday 9th April – Monday 18th April between 10am – 4:30pm at Court Lane, Dorney, SL4 6QP.
It costs £4 per child and no booking is necessary. Simply go along and look for clues in the walled garden. They then need to unscramble the puzzle to claim their egg-celent prize!
Magpies in the Community Family Easter Trail
The Magpies in the Community Family Easter Trail is on Sunday 17th April, 10am – 12pm at Maidenhead United FC Stadium, York Road, SL6 1SF
Tickets cost £5 (under 3’s go free) and it’s suitable for all ages. Drop in at any time between 10am and 12 noon (last entry is at 11:45am) and join in with the family fun.
There are many activities to join in. Answer the quiz sheet then play egg-citing games in the cage. Have a go at the egg and spoon obstacle course, try the (Hot) Cross (Bun) Bar Challenge and Beat The Bunny Pens.
Every child will also receive an egg.
Other Easter Activities: Head to the Alexander Devine website and check out their Easter Appeal. You can download activities and egg hunts for the kids to do at home, purchase a knitted chocolate chick or register to take on the 50km challenge at the Windsor Racecourse on 9th April.
If you want to head out of Maidenhead, Hugenden Manor National Trust are also doing a nature trail with a chocolate egg prize. Running from Friday 8th April t0 Sunday 24th April, 10am – 4pm. High Wycombe, Bucks. HP14 4LA
Or head to Binfield for the brilliant Binfield Easter Egg Hunt between Saturday 9th – Sunday 17th April which takes place in Binfield village. Simply buy a trail map for £3 from the Foxes Den Cafe, Binfield Village Stores or Crema Coffee Shop and find over 30 creatively made (non chocolate!) eggs around the village.
